Up & Coming: The Grand Parkway Marketplace

Just off of Spring Stuebner road and Grand Parkway, you’ll find the Grand Parkway Marketplace, a 488,000 square foot shopping center filled with retail shops galore. This relatively new shopping center opened last spring and has quickly become a go-to location for local residents.

Anchor stores Target, Michael’s, Petsmart and Burlington Coat Factory provide most things needed for the home, while DSW, Party City, and Ulta Cosmetics fill in the personal and specialty needs markets. Your fitness needs can be met right here as well by Orangetheory Fitness and Vitamin Shoppe. To meet the needs of the growing Spring area population, a pediatric dentist, eye care store, and two banks round out the tenants.

What sets this shopping center apart from others is the beautiful lake feature complete with a boardwalk. After dining at one of the many restaurant options, like Uncle Julio’s Mexican from Scratch, Buffalo Wild Wings, 5 Guys Burgers and MOD Pizza, take a stroll around the lake before hitting the shops. Or, grab some dessert at Great American Cookie or Marble Slab Creamery to enjoy while you walk.

As if this wasn’t enough, Grand Parkway Marketplace II has opened across the street, adding another 275,000 square feet of retail space. Hobby Lobby and Academy Sports anchor this location, with many other salons, restaurants and healthcare storefronts.

Marketplace II boasts a large LA Fitness and Emler Swim School. After your workout, stop by Wellness Thai Massage & Day Spa to relieve your sore muscles, then Starbucks will fill up your tank and replenish your energy.

Combined, these two shopping centers cover about 100 acres, giving local residents a plethora of options close to home. According to the developer, Grand Parkway Marketplace and Marketplace II represent the largest open-air shopping center in the country.
