Unique Restaurants in Spring

Whether you’re trying to grab a quick dinner on the way home from work, or looking for a special spot for your weekend date night, here’s a list of some restaurants in The Woodlands and Spring areas that are worth a try. Chosen for this list for their unique fare, exemplary service, or cozy atmosphere, you’ll be sure to find something to enjoy on this list when your fridge is empty at mealtime.

Peli Peli is an experience almost as much as it is a restaurant. The South African-inspired menu is packed with flavors that create a culinary experience like no other. Spices and marinades combine to make steak, chicken and seafood like you’ve never tasted before. It is known for its romantic atmosphere and cozy ambiance, and is one of only a few restaurants to have more than four stars on every online food rating website. Check out their location in Vintage Park off Route 249 North.

Founded in 2012 by Houston native Pamela Graham, Le’ Pam’s House of Creole is like stepping into New Orleans directly from north Houston. If you like Cajun cooking, then this is a must-try. With different off-menu items that “Miss Pam” cooks up herself on select days, you can almost always try something new. Located off FM 1960 near Kuykendahl, it’s easy to access and makes the perfect lunch or early dinner spot.

If you can’t decide between a hometown BBQ dinner and a more sophisticated sushi meal, then Q-Shi is the place for you. The combination of these seemingly disparate cuisines comes together in unique ways, like the “smoked brisket roll” and the “surf and turf pocket” to delight your palate. Generous portion sizes, a wide variety of menu items including desserts (fried cheesecake rolls, anyone?), and a healthy kids menu make Q-Shi a family-friendly weeknight or carryout option.

A great little Greek place just off Sawdust Road in The Woodlands is The Olive Oil restaurant. Known for its weekend evening parties complete with belly dancers, Greek music and plate smashing, The Olive Oil has become a hot spot for great food and fun. Their excellent seasonings make the meats melt in your mouth and the traditional Greek menu is packed with delicious choices. Stop in with the coworkers for lunch or bring the family to the party, you won’t be disappointed!
