Morning Habits to Improve Productivity

Taking the time to create a morning routine that works for you can monumentally improve your productivity throughout your work day! How we spend our mornings can set the tone for our entire day. When you set a routine that you follow everyday, you know that you’ll enjoy a peaceful morning and start the day off on the right foot! Wake up at the same time everyday

You don’t have to wake up at 5 am to have a successful morning routine! Take a look at your lifestyle and your priorities, then choose a wake up time that allows you to get enough sleep, but still leaves enough time to enjoy your mornings. Additionally, consider when you are the most productive- in the morning or the evenings? Those who have more energy in the evenings may prefer staying up a little later, and vice versa. 

Plan for the day ahead

End your evening by making a plan for the next day. When you wake up, you’re less likely to stress out if you know exactly what you want to accomplish! Before you go to bed, make a to-do list of the three most important things you need to achieve the next day. That way, you don’t have to make any stressful decisions in the morning, and can relax instead.

Move your body

It’s a well known fact- exercise makes you feel great, releases endorphins and helps you wake up. By sneaking in even just ten minutes of exercise before you start the busy day, you ensure that you have movement in your day, as well as jump start your energy levels. This gives you extra motivation to stay hydrated too! 

Time to get to work

Once it’s time to start working, start by tackling your largest task first. Even though it’s difficult, the rest of your day will feel much easier once you have accomplished the most daunting project on your list! You may even experience an extra boost of motivation to help carry you throughout the day.
